High-performance microplate reader for precise bio-analytical measurements.
The Molecular Devices SpectraMAX 190 Absorbance Microplate Reader is in full working condition, ready for immediate deployment. This versatile and high-performance bio-analytical instrument is specifically designed for life science research and development. It offers precise measurements with its wide wavelength range, making it suitable for applications such as DNA analysis and pharmaceutical research.
Key Features include a wide wavelength range from 190 to 850 nm, allowing for diverse application measurements across UV and visible spectra. The tunable monochromator enables wavelength selection in 1 nm increments for flexibility and precision in absorbance measurements. The narrow wavelength bandwidth of 2 nm offers enhanced resolution and specificity. The spectrometer measures a broad photometric range from 0 to 4.0 OD with a high photometric resolution of 0.001 OD, ensuring accuracy for both high and low absorbance samples. The PathCheck Sensor Technology ensures less than 5% error compared to cuvette readings, delivering reliable results in microplate-based measurements. A Xenon flash lamp light source provides stable, high-intensity light for consistent results over time. Rapid measurements include endpoint readings in as little as 12 seconds and kinetic measurements with a minimum 9-second interval, streamlining workflows. Its temperature control operates from ambient + 4°C to 45°C with ± 0.5°C uniformity at 37°C, ensuring well-to-well consistency for temperature-sensitive assays. The isothermal reading chambers maintain a uniform environment with less than 1°C variation when temperature regulation is not enabled.
Applications for the SpectraMAX 190 include DNA analysis for quantification and purity assessment, pharmaceutical research involving drug discovery and development assays, and various life science research activities such as enzyme kinetics and protein quantification.
Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.
We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.
We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.
With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.
Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.
Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.
Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.
We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
Tell us what you need and a scientist finds it for you, usually within the hour.
