This Genomic Solutions Cartesian Honeybee Protein Crystallization Lab System, model SD 8+1 Active, was previously utilized in a university laboratory but is now available as it exceeded the facility's requirements. The equipment has not been in use for several years, though it was reported to be in good working condition before being decommissioned. It includes eight tube rails, each accommodating 24 tubes, and a complete set of Dell Optiplex GX520 PCs loaded with the necessary software for operational tasks, along with supporting peripherals like a HP 1702 monitor, USB keyboard, and mouse. The system remains protected by a perspex enclosure and has passed its PAT test on 10.06.24, assuring electrical safety compliance.

Complete with a spare unit used for parts, the kit extends further user support through instruction manuals and software on CD-ROM for the Cartesian AXSYS V81.6.2 system. Notably, this system offers a small vacuum pump and other peripheral devices like a barcode reader and multiple data cables. While one PC failed to boot properly, the second successfully runs Windows XP Professional and accesses the Honeybee software. Adaptations to rectify connectivity issues were attempted without success.
