Product description

Two-stage rotary vane pump, 6 m3/h rate, ideal for lab and industrial applications.

The Pfeiffer Duo 5M is a compact and high-performance two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump, boasting a pumping rate of 6 m³/h (3.5 CFM) and achieving an ultimate vacuum of 2×10⁻³ mbar. Designed for robustness, it is corrosion-resistant and features a magnetic coupling for reduced maintenance. The quiet operation is maintained with a noise level of less than 57 dB. The unit operates at 370 W and 220 V, making it suitable for various settings. It comes equipped with vacuum oil and a new Pfeiffer ONF 25 vacuum oil mist separator filter. Its dimensions measure 435x160x215 mm and it weighs 22 kg. A user manual is included for ease of operation.

This vacuum pump is ideal for mass spectrometry and a wide array of laboratory applications, offering dependable performance in low and medium vacuum scenarios. Additionally, it serves critical industrial needs like drying processes, metallurgical processes, and resin encapsulation and casting systems. It can function both as a standalone unit or within larger systems like Roots or turbo pumping stations, thanks to its incorporation of a hydraulically controlled vacuum safety valve that seals and bleeds the system upon shutdown.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
