The Hoefer miniVE Electrophoresis Unit is a vertically-oriented device tailored for precise separation of DNA, RNA, and protein molecules in agarose or polyacrylamide gels. Featuring a gel size of 10.0 cm wide by 8 to 10.5 cm long, it offers a flexible tank volume of 1.7 L with a single module and 1.2 L when both modules are installed. This unit complies with operation within a temperature range up to 75ºC and is suitable for dilute aqueous solutions with pH levels between 2 and 12. It is not compatible with organic solvents, concentrated alcohols, acids, bases, or oxidizing agents. Compact with dimensions of 192 mm x 172 mm x 188 mm and weighing 1.2 kg, this unit fits well in laboratories with space constraints. Included are two gel modules, a safety cap, and a reservoir, enhancing its safety and operational ease.
