Qiagen EZ2 Connect is an automated benchtop nucleic acid purification system designed for parallel DNA and RNA extraction. It processes up to 24 samples per run using magnetic-particle technology and sealed, prefilled reagent cartridges.
The system automates cartridge piercing, reagent dispensing, sample mixing, incubation, heating, and precision pipetting to reduce manual preparation steps. Integrated internal and external barcode reading supports sample and consumable identification, while enclosed robotic handling and load verification help support consistent molecular biology workflows.
The pre-owned instrument was serviced and function-tested. Verification included the door lock and open sensor, piercing head, Y-axis movement, UV head X-axis travel, UV lamp, pipettor Z-axis movement, pipettor preventive maintenance, touchscreen responsiveness, and barcode reader operation.
