Product description

Sogevac SV40 BI oil sealed vacuum pump for rough vacuum generation, with 40 to 48 m³/h pumping speed and 0.05 mbar final pressure.

The Sogevac SV40 BI oil sealed vacuum pump is a rough vacuum pump for pumping inert gases from atmospheric pressure to the pump's ultimate pressure. Rough vacuum pumps of this type are used for vacuum generation in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories.

The pump has a DN 40 inlet flange and a small ISO-KF gas ballast. Opening the gas ballast periodically supports the removal of condensable vapors.

The used pump has been tested and is in good condition.

Sogevac SV40 BI oil sealed vacuum pump

The Sogevac SV40 BI is designed for rough vacuum pumping of inert gases between atmospheric pressure and the pump's final pressure. The pump is also used for rough vacuum generation in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories.

Configuration and specifications

  • Pumping speed: 40 to 48 m³/h
  • Final pressure: 0.05 mbar
  • Inlet flange: DN 40
  • Gas ballast: Small ISO-KF
  • Oil sealed pump design
  • Compact design with a small footprint
  • Integrated functions that do not require external piping
  • Constant noise level across operating conditions
  • Simplified maintenance design

The used Sogevac SV40 BI has been tested and is in good condition.

What these specifications mean

The 40 to 48 m³/h pumping speed indicates the gas throughput available during rough vacuum operation. The 0.05 mbar final pressure sets the lowest pressure reached by the pump. Together, these values distinguish evacuation rate from achievable endpoint when matching the pump to a vacuum process.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
