Product description

KNF Neuberger LABOPORT N 86 KT.18 diaphragm vacuum pump with PTFE-coated diaphragm, FFPM valves and oil-free operation.

The KNF Neuberger LABOPORT N 86 KT.18 chemically resistant diaphragm vacuum pump generates oil-free vacuum and pressure for laboratory vacuum applications in biotechnology and life sciences. Applications include filtration, aspiration, gas transfer and handling of neutral or mildly aggressive gases and vapours.

The pump has a PPS pump head, a PTFE-coated diaphragm and FFPM valves. The chemically resistant construction supports the listed gas and vapour handling applications. Oil-free operation provides vacuum and pressure generation without pump oil in the gas path.

The unit is used and in good operational state. It was manufactured in 01/2005 and has a 230 V, 50 Hz electrical supply.

The KNF Neuberger LABOPORT N 86 KT.18 is a compact, oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump for laboratory vacuum, filtration, aspiration, gas transfer and pressure applications. Its chemically resistant construction is designed for neutral or mildly aggressive gases and vapours used in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories.

What these specifications mean

The 160 mbar absolute ultimate vacuum supports the laboratory evacuation, filtration and aspiration applications specified for this pump. The 2.5 bar maximum operating pressure also covers the listed pressure and gas transfer applications.

The 5.5 l/min flow rate at atmospheric pressure corresponds to 0.33 m³/h. This throughput defines the pump’s gas handling rate during laboratory evacuation and transfer work. The PTFE-coated diaphragm and FFPM valves provide the chemical-resistant configuration specified for neutral or mildly aggressive gases and vapours.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
