Product description

Thermo Scientific Evolution 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer with 190 to 1100 nm range, VISIONlite software and single-position cell holder.

The Thermo Scientific Evolution 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer is a split-beam instrument for absorbance measurements, wavelength scans, quantitative analysis and biochemical assays in life sciences laboratories.

This unit includes VISIONlite software, a PC with monitor, keyboard and mouse, and a single-position cell holder. The PC and VISIONlite software provide computer-based instrument control and data acquisition. The single-position cell holder accommodates one sample cell.

The used instrument has been tested and is in good condition. Test scans were performed through VISIONlite software, and data acquisition was observed in remote mode. A holmium spectrum was recorded with an external Thermo Scientific UV Validator kit. The UV Validator kit is used for testing only and is not included.

What these specifications mean

The 190 to 1100 nm wavelength range covers ultraviolet and visible absorbance measurements. This range supports the biochemical assay and general analytical applications specified for the unit.

The fixed 1.0 nm spectral bandwidth provides a defined measurement bandwidth for wavelength scans and absorbance measurements. The absorbance range of -0.1 to 3.0 A covers the stated quantitative absorbance range, while the display extends from -0.1 to 5.0 A.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
