Product description

Satellite capturing high-resolution multispectral and thermal Earth imagery with onboard data recording.

Landsat 7 is a satellite launched on 15 April 1999, designed to capture high-resolution imagery of Earth's land surfaces. Equipped with the Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+), it provided critical data for environmental monitoring, land use planning, and resource management.

Key features include:

  • Panchromatic band with 15-metre spatial resolution for detailed imaging.
  • Visible and infrared bands (blue, green, red, near-infrared, mid-infrared) at 30-metre resolution, facilitating diverse analyses.
  • Thermal infrared channel with 60-metre resolution, aiding in temperature assessments.
  • On-board data recorder, enabling efficient data storage and transmission.

Landsat 7's data has been instrumental in fields such as environmental science, urban planning, agriculture, and forestry. Its imagery has supported research in climate change, deforestation, and water resource management.

The satellite's data has been widely utilised by government agencies, research institutions, universities, and private sector companies involved in geospatial analysis and environmental monitoring.

Landsat 7's mission concluded on 4 June 2025, after 26 years of service, leaving a legacy of comprehensive Earth observation data.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
