The SPT Labtech Dragonfly Discovery is an automated liquid handling system optimized for precise, repeatable dispensing in biotechnology workflows including molecular biology, genomics, and biochemical assays. Featuring non-contact dispensing and positive displacement technology, it supports a broad dynamic range of 200 nL to 4 mL, accommodating various liquid classes and plate formats such as 96-, 384-, and 1,536-well plates.

The system comes mounted on a custom cart (note: casters are warped and stage plate adapter is bent, requiring repair) and includes a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 Pro with Dragonfly Discovery software pre-installed. Despite minor mechanical issues affecting initialization, the core dispensing capabilities remain intact, making it suitable for critical applications in biomanufacturing and live-cell assay preparation.
