Product description

Reliable Edwards RV3 with ultimate pressure 2.0 x 10⁻³ mbar. Efficient and compact design for lab applications.

The Edwards RV3 Vacuum Pump is designed for dependable performance in laboratory environments. It offers displacement rates of 3.7/4.5 m³/h at 50Hz/60Hz and speed rates of 3.3/3.9 m³/h. This pump achieves an ultimate pressure of 2.0 x 10⁻³ mbar and an ultimate pressure with gas ballast of 3.0 x 10⁻² mbar, ensuring efficient operation. It handles a maximum inlet pressure for water vapour of 80 mbar and supports a max water vapour pumping rate of 60 g/h. The pump is capable of sustaining a max allowed outlet pressure of 0.2 bar and a max allowed inlet and gas ballast pressure of 0.5 bar. With a nominal rotation speed of 1500/1800 rpm at 50/60Hz, its compact form factor weighs 25 kg (without oil) and requires an oil capacity between 0.42 to 0.7 liters. Equipped with NW25 inlet and exhaust flanges, it operates quietly at a noise level of 48 dB(A). This vacuum pump is suitable for various applications requiring efficient gas handling and precise pressure control.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
