Product description

Computer-controlled microplate fluorometer with fast 96/384-well reading, onboard dispensers, and high-sensitivity optics.

Fluoroskan Ascent is a computer-controlled microplate fluorometer designed for life science research applications, including fluorometric protein and enzyme studies, molecular interactions, nucleic acid quantification, reporter gene assays, fluorometric kinase assays, immunoassays, and cell-based assays.

Key features:

  • Fast reading speed: Reads a 96-well plate in just 15 seconds, essential for kinetic applications.
  • Onboard dispensers: Equipped with up to three reagent dispensers for rapid kinetic assays, such as Ca²⁺ flux. Supports simultaneous dispensing and reading, enabling monitoring of kinetic measurements from the very start of the reaction.
  • High sensitivity for both top and bottom reading: Fiberless direct illumination optics ensure high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, and accurate results for 1- to 384-well plates.
  • Automation compatibility: Reads up to 384-well plates for increased assay throughput and can be easily integrated with automated systems.

This instrument is widely used in fields such as biotechnology, molecular biology, cell biology, and pharmaceutical research. It is commonly found in university laboratories, biomedical research centres, and clinical environments. The Fluoroskan Ascent remains relevant and in use today, offering reliable performance for various research applications.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
