The GE Healthcare ÄKTA start protein purification system is a compact chromatography system for laboratory-scale protein purification. It supports affinity chromatography, ion exchange, desalting and other preparative chromatography applications.
This unit includes a Frac30 fraction collector, a PC and Unicorn control software. The Frac30 adds automated fraction collection, while the PC and software provide an alternative to integrated touchscreen control.
The unit is used and was manufactured in March 2020.
The GE Healthcare ÄKTA start is a laboratory-scale protein purification system for preparative chromatography. It supports affinity chromatography, ion exchange, desalting and other protein purification methods used in molecular biology and bioprocessing laboratories.
The used unit and Frac30 fraction collector were manufactured in March 2020.
The 280 nm UV detector monitors protein-containing eluate during purification. Conductivity measurement tracks ionic conditions across a separation, with a stated range of 0 to 300 mS/cm.
The Frac30 collects separated fractions into tubes ranging from 1.5 or 2 ml to 15 ml. Its capacity of up to 30 fractions supports collection across automated preparative chromatography runs.
