Product description

Hettich Rotofix 32 A benchtop centrifuge with 1624 swing-out rotor, 1492 bio-seal lids, 1481 buckets and 1383 tube inserts.

The Hettich Rotofix 32 A benchtop centrifuge supports routine blood tube, conical tube and general sample preparation. It is also used for sample preparation in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories.

This unit includes the 1624 four-place swing-out rotor, 1492 bio-seal lids, 1481 buckets and 1383 tube inserts. The bio-seal components provide aerosol-tight containment for compatible tube loading.

The unit is used and has a metal housing, stainless-steel chamber and imbalance cut-off. Its power requirement is approximately 208 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz.

  • Typical maximum capacity: up to 6 × 94 to 100 ml or 40 blood tubes, rotor-dependent
  • Example with the included 1624 rotor: up to 4,000 rpm, approximately 2,665 × g and 4 × 100 ml

Construction and installation

  • Metal housing
  • Stainless-steel chamber
  • Imbalance cut-off
  • Approximate dimensions: 366 × 430 × 257 mm
  • Approximate weight: 23 kg
  • Power: approximately 208 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, approximately 300 VA

The unit is used and supplied with the 1624 swing-out rotor, 1492 bio-seal lids, 1481 buckets and 1383 tube inserts.

What these specifications mean

The included 1624 swing-out rotor configures the centrifuge for four 100 ml positions and provides a maximum RCF of approximately 2,665 × g at 4,000 rpm. The 1481 buckets and 1383 inserts determine the supported tube arrangement within this configuration.

The device supports a maximum RCF of approximately 4,200 × g with compatible rotors. RCF is the relevant centrifugation value for matching the instrument to separation protocols, while the achievable value depends on the installed rotor.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
