Product description

Used R4131B RF/microwave spectrum analyzer with 10 kHz–3.5 GHz range, GPIB, AFC, and CISPR quasi-peak measurement.

The Advantest Rohde & Schwarz R4131B RF/microwave spectrum analyzer is a portable measurement instrument covering 10 kHz to 3.5 GHz. It is designed for RF testing, microwave signal analysis, field-strength measurements, harmonic measurements, CATV evaluation, satellite broadcast testing, and wireless communications maintenance.

Key features include:

  • Frequency range: 10 kHz–3.5 GHz
  • Resolution bandwidth: 1 kHz to 1 MHz in 1-3 steps at 3 dB points; 9 kHz and 120 kHz at 6 dB points when quasi-peak mode is selected
  • Average noise level: -116 dBm, or -114 dBm for the R4131BN, plus 1.55f (GHz) dB or less
  • Measurement conditions for average noise level: 1 kHz resolution bandwidth, 10 Hz video filter, 0 dB attenuation, and frequencies of 1 MHz or above
  • Frequency response with 10 dB attenuation: ±1 dB from 100 kHz to 2 GHz and ±2 dB from 10 kHz to 3.5 GHz
  • AFC: Automatic Frequency Control for stable spectrum analysis
  • Measurement memory: Stores up to three sets of measurement conditions, including waveforms
  • Auto-recall: Automatically recalls stored measurement conditions when power is applied
  • CISPR-related measurement functions: Directly readable field-strength measurements with antenna calibration-factor compensation and quasi-peak measurements
  • System connectivity: Standard GPIB interface, direct plotting capability, and video output
  • Dimensions: 300 × 177 × 460 mm (W × H × D)
  • Weight: 10 kg

The R4131B can be integrated with optional TR4153A/4153B or TR4154 tracking generators for wide-dynamic-range frequency-response measurements. Typical applications include 900 MHz mobile-radio third-harmonic testing, satellite broadcast field-strength measurement, CATV system evaluation, and RF compliance analysis.

The delivered unit is used, tested, fully functional, and ready for operation. An instruction manual is included.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
