Product description

Used R4131B RF/microwave spectrum analyzer covering 10 kHz–3.5 GHz with GPIB and AFC.

The Advantest Rohde & Schwarz R4131B RF/microwave spectrum analyzer is a used, fully functional test instrument for frequency-domain measurements from 10 kHz to 3.5 GHz. It is suitable for RF engineering, telecommunications testing, satellite broadcast field-strength measurements, CATV system evaluation, and mobile radio harmonic analysis.

  • Frequency range: 10 kHz–3.5 GHz
  • Resolution bandwidth:
  • 3 dB points: 1 kHz to 1 MHz in 1-3 steps
  • 6 dB points: 9 kHz and 120 kHz when quasi-peak mode is selected
  • Dynamic range / average noise level: -116 dBm, or -114 dBm for the R4131BN, + 1.55f (GHz) dB or less
  • Measurement conditions for average noise level: 1 kHz resolution bandwidth, 10 Hz video filter, 0 dB attenuation, at 1 MHz or above
  • Frequency response with 10 dB attenuation:
  • ±1 dB from 100 kHz to 2 GHz
  • ±2 dB from 10 kHz to 3.5 GHz
  • Automatic Frequency Control (AFC): Supports highly stable spectrum analysis
  • Quasi-peak measurements: Conform to CISPR standards
  • Field-strength measurements: Directly readable measurements compensated for antenna calibration factor
  • Save/recall memory: Stores up to 3 sets of measurement conditions, including waveforms
  • Auto-recall: Automatically recalls stored measurement conditions when power is applied
  • Interface: GPIB standard
  • System integration: Direct plotting and video output are provided for measurement systems
  • Tracking generator compatibility: TR4153A/4153B and TR4154 tracking generators can be added for wide-dynamic-range frequency characteristic measurements
  • Dimensions (W × H × D): 300 × 177 × 460 mm
  • Weight: 10 kg
  • Serial number: 4116965
  • Included: R4131B spectrum analyzer and instruction manual
  • Condition: Used, tested, 100% functional, and ready for operation

The R4131B is a practical RF spectrum analyzer for laboratory measurement systems, radio-frequency development, EMC-related testing, and maintenance of wireless, satellite, and cable television equipment.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
