Product description

Portable analyzer measuring O2, CO, temperature, smoke density to assess boiler combustion efficiency.

The Westinghouse PCA-612 portable combustion analyzer is designed to study boiler efficiency by measuring and calculating combustion parameters.

  • Measurements performed:
  • Excess oxygen (O2) content in flue gas
  • Carbon monoxide (CO) content in flue gas
  • Net stack temperature
  • Smoke density of flue gas
  • Calculated combustion efficiency
  • Calculated boiler efficiency
  • Calculated CO2 level
  • Display and data handling:
  • Digital Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) shows all measured parameters except smoke density and CO level
  • Data storage in memory
  • On-demand thermal printing of results
  • Primary components:
  • Sampling probe with probe tube, heat-resistant rubber-coated handle, adjustable depth cone with O-ring seal, particle filter, and thermocouple assembly
  • Analyzer enclosure containing O2 and CO sensors, microprocessor PCB, power supply PCB, sample pump, battery pack, LCD display, thermal printer, printer interface PCB
  • Supporting tubing, cables, connectors, switches, and fasteners
  • Power cord, carrying strap, and carrying case
  • Sampling probe details:
  • Silicone tubing transports gas samples to analyzer
  • Adjustable cone ensures sample depth accuracy and seals probe to prevent outside air contamination
  • Depth set by sliding cone relative to probe end and tightening screw, corresponding to desired stack penetration (usually 1/3 stack diameter)
  • Condition note:
  • Powers on but oxygen sensor requires replacement; sold as-is with all parts shown.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
