Product description

High-pressure metering pump with stepper motor-driven piston for precise 0.01–10 mL/min flow control.

The Eldex 5976 Optos 2SMP is a metering pump designed for precise flow control at intermediate to high pressures through positive displacement and a reciprocating piston. Key features include:

  • Flow Rate: 0.01 to 10 mL/min
  • Maximum Pressure: 6000 psi
  • Piston Diameter: 1/8"
  • Piston Stroke: 0.250"
  • Wetted Materials: Type 316 stainless steel, sapphire, ruby, graphite fiber reinforced PTFE, CTFE
  • Reproducibility: ±0.3% typically
  • Viscosity Limit: Up to 500 centipoise

The piston is actuated by a stepper motor via an eccentric cam, controlled by advanced software algorithms that modulate motor speed based on piston position. This ensures rapid fluid intake, smooth and constant fluid delivery while minimizing pulsation.

Tubing Connections:

  • Inlet: 1/4"-28 low-pressure plastic fitting for 1/8" plastic tubing
  • Outlet: 10-32 tube nut and ferrule for 1/16" tubing

This pump is suitable for applications requiring accurate dosing or flow rates under varying pressure conditions.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
