The unit features an RS232 serial interface, facilitating connectivity with a variety of computer systems and barcode systems.

Key features include an audible alarm to indicate when the cassette supply is depleted during operation. The MicroWriter can be controlled from any device equipped with an RS232 communication port and responds to a limited set of 127 ASCII characters, with the option for special characters, including foreign languages and custom symbols, upon request.
