Product description

Automated system for medium- to high-throughput purification of DNA, RNA, proteins, and cells using magnetic particles.

The Thermo Scientific KingFisher Flex is a benchtop automated extraction instrument designed for processing up to 96 samples per run. It utilizes revolutionary magnetic particle separation technology to deliver consistent extraction and purification of DNA, RNA, proteins, and cells from diverse sample types.

Key features include:

  • Automation of complex manual steps to improve workflow efficiency
  • Simultaneous processing and purification of samples
  • Heating option to enhance binding and elution steps
  • Sample concentration during processing
  • Efficient magnetic bead collection minimizing sample loss
  • Improved reaction kinetics and wash efficiency by moving magnetic particles, not liquids
  • Prevention of carryover and cross-contamination
  • Operated via internal program with BindIt Software for streamlined control

Processing volume range:

  • PCR plate (20–100 µL), skirted or similar
  • 20–200 µL: 96-well plate
  • 50–1,000 µL: 96 deep-well plate
  • 200–5,000 µL: 24 deep-well plate

Note: Microplate trays are not included. For additional technical details, consult the product brochure and manual.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
