Streamline your sequencing with scalable template amplification in a compact footprint.
The Life Technologies Ion Torrent OneTouch 2 Instrument is designed to perform template amplification within the manual workflow of the Ion PGM, Ion Proton, Ion S5, and Ion S5 XL systems. It is ideal for scalable template preparation across all Ion semiconductor chips and is compact enough to fit comfortably on any bench top. For a fully automated workflow, consider the Ion Chef Instrument. Note that the Ion OneTouch ES enrichment module is not included in this purchase. This innovative instrument consolidates multiple manual preparation steps into a single system, enabling the processing of multiple samples daily through its modular design. It supports scalable template preparation across the various Ion semiconductor sequencing chips, achieving up to 400 bases on the Ion PGM, up to 200 bases on the Ion Proton System, up to 400 bases on the Ion 520 and 530 chips, and up to 200 bases on the Ion 540 chip. The system operates without the need for gas by employing a peristaltic pump. Its efficiency is underscored by three pioneering technologies: a reaction filter for creating microreactors, an integrated thermal cycler with a disposable path amplification plate for robust cycling, and a built-in centrifuge for particle recovery. Together, these features enable massively parallel clonal amplification and recovery within a minimal bench top footprint.
Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.
We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.
We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.
With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.
Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.
Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.
Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.
We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
Tell us what you need and a scientist finds it for you, usually within the hour.
