The Avestin EmulsiFlex-C5 is a high-pressure, pneumatically powered homogenizer specifically designed for laboratory-scale applications. Engineered to process sample volumes from 7 mL to 5 L/h, it operates effectively depending on the pressure applied, up to 30,000 psi. Utilizing high-pressure homogenization techniques, it efficiently disrupts cell membranes or reduces liposome and emulsion sizes to nanometer range, ensuring uniform particles with narrow size distributions. Its dynamic homogenizing valve maintains constant pressure, facilitating highly uniform liposome and micro-emulsion production. Ideal for cell disruption and liposome formation, the EmulsiFlex-C5 supports a flow rate of 1–5 L/h and features adjustable pressure and temperature control for precise applications. It is fully autoclavable for easy cleaning and sterilization, and its compact design requires compressed or bottled air for operation.
