The Affymetrix GeneChip Fluidics Station 450 features four independent modules designed to automate the processing of GeneChip probe arrays. Each module can hold:

  • One GeneChip probe array cartridge
  • Up to three 1.5 mL sample vials

Control Features:

  • Each module is independently controlled via the Affymetrix GeneChip Operating Software on a connected computer workstation.
  • One workstation can operate up to eight fluidics stations simultaneously.
  • Different protocols can be assigned per module, provided Wash A and Wash B reagents are consistent.
  • Modules are numbered 1 to 4 adjacent to the LCD window for identification.
