Compact DC corona discharge ionizer AD1683 rapidly removes static within 10-50cm, ideal for dry powder weighing.
The A&D AD1683 is a compact static electricity ionizer utilizing a DC corona discharge (bipolar) method to effectively neutralize static charges within a 10 to 50 cm range. This ionizer generates static-free environments quickly—discharging 5kV static within approximately 1 second at 10 cm distance. Its 30 x 30 cm effective area and non-airflow design make it ideal for sensitive laboratory tasks such as dry powder weighing in controlled conditions. Operating reliably within 0 to 40°C and ≤80% relative humidity, it produces minimal ozone emission (0.07 ppm positive, 0.25 ppm negative discharge needle), meeting laboratory safety standards.
The device features a compact footprint measuring 112 mm (W) x 92 mm (D) x 60 mm (H), suitable for benchtop installation or inline use. Its replaceable tungsten discharge electrode needles support long-term maintenance and performance consistency. The ionizer requires an AC adapter power supply and allows easy installation with adjustable angle positioning for optimal static elimination.
This static eliminator is widely used in biotechnology labs, molecular diagnostics, and bioprocessing environments where static control prevents contamination and measurement errors. Its rapid discharge and quiet operation are critical in biomanufacturing pipelines, ensuring precision during cell handling and synthetic biology research workflows. Sold as a used unit with original performance not guaranteed, buyers are advised to verify function prior to critical applications.
Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.
We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.
We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.
With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.
Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.
Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.
Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.
We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
Tell us what you need and a scientist finds it for you, usually within the hour.
