The Advanced Mupid-exU 5351 is a high-performance electrophoresis system designed for precise molecular diagnostics and biotechnology applications such as DNA and RNA separation. It features a UV-transmissive gel tank constructed from specialized resin allowing efficient UV detection at 254 nm (50% transmittance) and 312 nm (80% transmittance), facilitating fluorescence analysis and gel imaging. The compact gel tank measures 183 mm (W) × 164 mm (L) × 56 mm (H) with a buffer capacity of 300–350 ml, suitable for multi-sample analysis with compatibility for multi-channel pipetting.
The system includes a UV non-transmissive safety cover (197 mm × 169 mm × 38 mm) and a globally compatible power supply unit (64 mm × 164 mm × 59 mm) supporting AC 100–240 V input. The power supply offers multiple precise voltage steps from 18 V to 135 V with a constant peak voltage of 140 V controlled via pulse modulation. The integrated timer function can be set from 1 to 99 minutes with continuous operation and pause options, supporting variable separation protocols critical in bioprocessing and gene editing workflows.
Additional features include an automatic memory function, which recalls the previous run parameters, and a micro switch safety mechanism that halts voltage output when the cover is open, ensuring operator safety during electrophoresis runs.
