The Bio-Rad Mini-PROTEAN Tetra Cell (Model 168-8001JA) is a vertical gel electrophoresis system designed for protein separation through SDS-PAGE, supporting simultaneous running of 1 to 4 mini gels. This system is compatible with Mini-PROTEAN precast gels and allows custom handcast gels within typical mini gel dimensions. Its gel size accommodates precast gels measuring 8.6 by 6.8 cm, and handcast gels of 8.3 by 7.3 cm, with glass plates sized for short and spacer configurations to facilitate consistent electrophoresis runs.
Featuring efficient buffer capacity (700 ml for 2 gels and 1000 ml for 4 gels), it ensures stable conditions during electrophoresis.
