Product description

Fast, precise UV/Vis measurements across 190-1100 nm wavelength range.

The Agilent 8453 UV/Vis Spectrophotometer (G1103A) delivers fast and precise measurements, capable of covering a wavelength range from 190 to 1100 nm with its photodiode array detector. This efficient instrument offers readings in under one second and comes equipped with a PC running the built-in UV/VisChemstation B4 software for advanced biochemistry applications, including dissolution and general pack functionality. An instruction manual is also included for ease of use.

Key performance specifications include:

  • < 1.0% deviation at 200 nm using a 1.2% KCl solution, with a scanning white background in air and a 5-second integration time, following EP methods.
  • < 0.05% deviation at 220 nm using a 10 g/l NaI solution, with scanning in air and a 5-second integration time, as per ASTM methods.
  • < 0.03% deviation at 340 nm using a 50 g/l NaNO2 solution, with scanning in air and a 5-second integration time, in accordance with ASTM methods.

Software: UV/Vis ChemStation B04, designed for comprehensive spectral analysis and streamlined laboratory operations.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
