WPI ATC1000 Animal Temperature Controller

The WPI ATC1000 is a low electromagnetic interference (EMI) heating system designed to maintain animal body temperature during experimental procedures with high precision. Key features include:

• Low noise DC heater to minimize electromagnetic radiation, critical for sensitive electrophysiological recordings.
• PID control technology, enabling proportional, integral, and derivative regulation of DC voltage output for precise and stable temperature maintenance.
• Dual temperature sensing inputs:
• Probe input for rectal probe temperature monitoring.
• Output input connected to an internal sensor within the heating plate (not included) to avoid localized hot spots.
• Auto tuning function using fuzzy-logic algorithm for automatic optimization of PID parameters. Manual setting options are also available.
• Temperature resolution of 0.1°C for fine temperature control.
• Rectal temperature probe includes a 6-ft ultra-flexible shielded cable and an RTD sensor for accurate temperature measurement.
