Product description

Modular FPLC system with UV and pH/conductivity monitors, fraction collector, and pump for liquid chromatography.

The Äkta Explorer 10 is a modular Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC) system designed for analytical and production applications. It includes:

  • Box-900 unit
  • pH/C-900 monitor for pH (range 0–14) and conductivity (1 µS/cm to 999.9 mS/cm) measurements
  • UV-900 absorbance monitor, capable of simultaneous multi-wavelength detection (190–700 nm with ±2 nm accuracy, 1 nm step increments) with quartz flow cells of 2 and 10 mm path lengths, max flow rate 100 mL/min
  • P-900 pump for controlled flow rates
  • Frac-950 automated fraction collector for research use only

Key technical specifications:

  • Voltage: 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz
  • Power consumption: 600 VA
  • External dimensions (W x D x H): 50 x 52 x 61 cm
  • Weight: approx. 75 kg (including PC)

The system is provided with a PC and software for operational control. The UV-900 unit supports monitoring up to three wavelengths simultaneously, and the pH/C-900 enhances process control through in-line measurement of pH and conductivity during chromatographic runs. The fraction collector is intended solely for research applications.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
