OHAUS Explorer EXR precision balances are designed for technical and industrial applications that require high accuracy, out-of-the-box response, and advanced digital integration. Ideal for weighing large samples or environments where a draft shield is not required, they combine professional performance, structural robustness and a modern user interface.
With capacities from 2,200 g to 12,200 g and readability down to 0.01 g, EXR scales deliver stable, repeatable results with AutoCal™ internal automatic calibration and a high-speed digital load cell. Stabilization time of less than 1 second reduces uptime and maximizes productivity, maintaining accuracy even in the presence of environmental variations.
The scratch and chemical-resistant 7" tempered glass touchscreendisplay provides a clear and responsive interface. Programmable IR sensors allow operations such as tare, zero, or non-contact printing to be performed, improving hygiene and safety during use.
EXR balances support driverless HID connection, which allows data to be sent directly to a PC or lab software without installing drivers. They feature USB-A, USB-C, RS232, and Ethernet ports, with optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for maximum flexibility. The internal log of up to 100,000 events, 4-level user management and NTP time synchronization ensure GLP/GMP compliance and full traceability of operations.
Ideal for quality control laboratories, R&D departments, chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for manufacturing or calibration applications that require technical precision, repeatable weighing, and reliable data transfer.

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.
We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.
We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.
With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.
Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.
Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.
Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.
We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
Tell us what you need and a scientist finds it for you, usually within the hour.
