The Leica Aperio Versa 8 is an automated whole-slide scanner configured for brightfield, fluorescence, and FISH imaging in digital pathology, histology, oncology, cell biology, and translational research. This 2016 complete system supports high-resolution digitization of tissue sections and fluorescence-labeled specimens for laboratory and core-facility workflows.
The scanner accommodates up to 8 slides per run and supports multiple fluorescence channels, with up to 5 channels depending on configuration and filters. Its motorized XY scanning system and precision laser-based autofocus support imaging at cellular and tissue levels. The supplied Aperio Versa 8 software and Leica Application Suite support specimen organization, image viewing, and digital pathology workflows. Compatibility is specified with Aperio ImageScope, eSlide Manager, and analysis modules.
The system is suitable for FISH analysis, fluorescence microscopy, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, oncology research, neuroscience, and cell biology. It can also support image-based workflows in molecular diagnostics, biotechnology research, and translational laboratory environments.
