Product description

Foss Tecator Kjeltec 2400/2460 KT automated Kjeldahl analyzer spare parts for nitrogen and protein determination, used.

The Foss Tecator Kjeltec 2400/2460 KT automated Kjeldahl analyzer is designed for Kjeldahl nitrogen, protein and ammonium nitrogen determination. Automated Kjeldahl analyzers are also used for protein and nitrogen determination in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories.

This offer consists solely of spare parts from a Kjeltec 2400/2460 KT system. Software is not included. The described system configuration includes automatic distillation, titration, calculation, reporting and tube draining, but these functions are not verified for the spare parts offer.

The equipment is used and was last serviced on 20 November 2017. It has not been used intensively since that service. The instrument cannot be tested because software is unavailable. Foss no longer services this instrument.

Equipment

The Foss Tecator Kjeltec 2400/2460 KT is an automated Kjeldahl analyzer for nitrogen, protein and ammonium nitrogen determination. The Kjeltec 2400 system is designed for automatic sample dilution, alkali and receiver addition, distillation, titration, calculation, reporting and tube draining.

System functions described

  • Colorimetric titration for Kjeldahl analysis
  • Fully unattended analysis of up to 60 samples
  • Reagent availability alarms
  • Reagent dispensing through bellows pumps
  • Interchangeable burette for different titrant strengths
  • Distillate temperature monitoring
  • Tube, door, hood, reagent level, steam generator level and overpressure safety monitoring
  • Steam Addition for Equilibration technology for tubes containing acid or salt cake
  • Connection to a LIMS and balance
  • Internal sampler flushing with water
  • Corrosion-resistant materials and alkali-resistant plastic components
  • Optional Weighing Terminal for sample registration

The used equipment was last serviced on 20 November 2017. It is offered solely as spare parts without software, and functional testing is not possible.

What these specifications mean

The 60 sample capacity applies to the complete Kjeltec 2400 system and supports unattended batch analysis. This offer is limited to spare parts, so operation of that complete sample-handling configuration is not verified.

Software is not included. The missing software prevents functional testing of the instrument and separates this spare parts offer from a complete, testable analyzer configuration.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
