Product description

GE Amersham WB 29032030 Western Blot System with Elpho and Scan Unit for electrophoresis, protein transfer, PVDF processing and blot imaging.

The GE Amersham WB 29032030 Western Blot System supports electrophoresis, protein transfer, antibody probing and Western blot imaging for protein analysis.

The Elpho and Scan Unit separates SDS treated sample proteins in polyacrylamide gels and scans gels and PVDF cards. The Western Unit transfers proteins to membranes, supports primary and secondary antibody probing, and dries PVDF cards.

The used system powers on and all functions appear operational. Test blots have not been performed. The system is sold as is. Operating and unpacking instructions are included.

Configuration

The system includes an Elpho and Scan Unit and a Western Unit.

  • The Elpho and Scan Unit performs gel electrophoresis for SDS treated sample proteins.
  • The unit scans gels after electrophoresis and PVDF cards after probing and drying.
  • The Western Unit transfers separated proteins from the gel to a membrane.
  • The Western Unit supports probing with primary antibodies and secondary antibodies conjugated to a CyDye.
  • The Western Unit dries PVDF cards before scanning.

Applications

This Western blot system is used for protein separation, protein transfer, antibody probing and blot imaging. It is suitable for Western blotting workflows and electrophoresis in molecular biology laboratories.

Condition

The used GE Amersham WB 29032030 system powers on and all functions appear operational. Test blots have not been performed. The unit is sold as is. Operating and unpacking instructions are included.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
