Product description

Geneflow SD10 semi-dry blot system for Western, Southern and Northern blotting, with 10 x 10 cm gel format and low buffer use.

The Geneflow SD10 semi-dry blot transfer system is used for DNA, RNA and protein blotting in Western, Southern and Northern blotting workflows. It uses low buffer volumes and supports transfer from vertical gel electrophoresis systems.

The unit includes corresponding cables. Its screw-down lid secures the blot sandwich and applies controlled pressure during transfer.

The used unit was working properly before transport. No further tests were conducted after transport. Compatibility with a vertical gel electrophoresis system is stated.

The Geneflow SD10 Semi-Dry Blot System is a semi-dry blot transfer unit for Western, Southern and Northern blotting. It is compatible with DNA, RNA and protein transfer workflows and with a vertical gel electrophoresis system.

What these specifications mean

Transfer typically takes 15 to 30 minutes, supporting rapid blotting workflows. Buffer use is limited to a few millilitres per transfer, which reduces the amount of transfer buffer required.

The SD10 accepts gel thicknesses from 0.25 to 10 mm and uses a 10 x 10 cm gel format. Uniform heat dispersion is part of the transfer design.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
