Product description

GE Ettan DALTsix vertical electrophoresis system for 2-D protein separation, six large-format gels, and temperature-controlled buffer circulation.

The GE Ettan DALTsix large-format vertical electrophoresis system is designed for second-dimension protein separation in 2-D electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE and 2-D DIGE workflows. It supports laboratory-cast and precast gels for 18 cm and 24 cm Immobiline DryStrip and IPG workflows.

The system includes an Ettan DALT cassette rack with six large-format gel cassettes. An Ettan DIGE Gel Alignment Guide Kit supports gel alignment for Typhoon imaging systems. An integrated buffer circulation pump circulates electrophoresis buffer. An integrated heat exchanger supports temperature-controlled electrophoresis when connected to a suitable cooling circulator. Original user documentation is included.

This unit is used. The pump requires a 220 to 240 V, 50 to 60 Hz power supply. Electrophoresis operation uses an external power supply connection.

GE Ettan DALTsix electrophoresis system

The Ettan DALTsix is a large-format vertical electrophoresis system for:

  • 2-D electrophoresis
  • SDS-PAGE
  • 2-D DIGE
  • Second-dimension protein separation
  • Proteomics workflows

The system accommodates up to six large-format slab gels simultaneously. It supports laboratory-cast and precast gels with 18 cm and 24 cm Immobiline DryStrip or IPG workflows.

This used unit includes an Ettan DALT cassette rack, six large-format gel cassettes, an Ettan DIGE Gel Alignment Guide Kit for Ettan DALT and original Ettan DALTsix user documentation. The product number is 80-6485-27 / 80648527.

What these specifications mean

The six-gel capacity allows up to six large-format slab gels to run simultaneously under identical conditions. This supports parallel processing in 2-D electrophoresis and 2-D DIGE workflows.

The 18 cm and 24 cm supported IPG strip lengths match common Immobiline DryStrip workflows. Temperature control combines the integrated buffer circulation pump and heat exchanger with a suitable external cooling circulator.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
