Product description

Integrated single-cell imaging and dispensing system for monoclonality verification and clonal cell-line development

The Molecular Devices CloneSelect Imager FL with DispenCell Single-Cell Dispenser is an integrated laboratory system for single-cell imaging, precision dispensing, and monoclonality verification. The platform combines fluorescence and brightfield imaging with automated single-cell deposition for clonal cell-line development, biologics research, and gene-edited cell population screening.

CloneSelect Imager FL configuration

  • High-resolution CMOS camera
  • Imaging speed:
  • White-light imaging of 96-well or 384-well microplates: less than 2 minutes
  • Fluorescence imaging of 96-well or 384-well microplates: less than 8 minutes
  • Resolution:
  • High resolution: 1.8 microns
  • Standard resolution: 3.6 microns
  • Objective: 4x
  • White-light transillumination source: 5 W xenon flash lamp
  • Multichannel fluorescence source: Lumencor Aura III LED light engine
  • Fluorescence channels: GFP/RFP
  • Compatible source plates: 96-well and 384-well SBS microplates
  • Source plate capacity: 1 plate

DispenCell Single-Cell Dispenser configuration

  • Operating pressure: less than 0.1 psi
  • Stage capacity: 2 plates, compatible with 96-well and 384-well formats
  • Loading cart: 3 tube positions
  • Plate compatibility:
  • 96-well plates: 200 µL
  • 384-well plates: 50 µL
  • Minimum cell number: 100 cells
  • Sample preparation time: 10 minutes
  • 96-well plate dispensing time: 5 minutes
  • Cell parameters: cell size and doublets
  • Calibration: not required
  • Cleaning: not required

The system supports automated clonal isolation workflows, including single-cell detection, tracking, selection, and deposition. It is suited to stable cell-line generation, monoclonality assessment, biologics development, cell viability studies, molecular biology research, and gene-editing workflows.

Included equipment comprises the CloneSelect Imager FL, DispenCell Single-Cell Dispenser, Lumencor Aura III, computer with CloneSelect software, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power and communication cables. The pre-owned instrument was manufactured in 2022 and underwent functional testing, including software communication, objective and filter inspection, camera verification, multi-well image acquisition, Aura III operation, and full X- and Y-stage movement. The dispenser was powered on, initialized, connected to software, and subjected to a self-check; further dispensing tests require proprietary consumable tips.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
