Product description

Automated Agilent Bravo liquid handler for NGS library preparation, magnetic bead processing and 96-well workflows.

System Overview

The Agilent Bravo NGS Workstation is an automated robotic liquid handling workstation configured for precise 96-well pipetting, microplate transport, temperature control, shaking, and magnetic bead processing. It is suited to NGS library preparation, molecular diagnostics, biotechnology workflows, PCR/qPCR setup, ELISA automation, cell-based assays, and high-throughput screening.

Configured Hardware

  • Agilent Bravo platform with 96-channel Bravo 96LT liquid-handling head
  • Bravo gripper assembly with a deck configured for an ODTC accessory and deck risers
  • BenchCel Microplate Handler 2R installed on risers
  • Labware MiniHub installed on risers
  • Enclosure with light curtain and emergency stop button
  • Robot Disable Hub and Ethernet switch
  • Inheco MTC Controller
  • Inheco ODTC 96 XL Down with power and control unit
  • ThermoCube temperature-control module
  • Two Inheco CPAC Ultraflat HT 2-TEC stations
  • Teleshake Orbital Shaking Station
  • Thermal station with cooling pad
  • Magnetic bead accessory
  • Three standard plate pads and one short plate pad
  • PC running VWorks 14 software
  • Power and communication cables

Capabilities and Applications

  • Automated, high-precision liquid handling in 96-well microplate formats
  • Integrated plate movement and storage using BenchCel and Labware MiniHub
  • On-deck heating, cooling, incubation, and temperature-controlled sample handling
  • Orbital shaking for reaction mixing and incubation
  • Magnetic bead-based nucleic acid extraction and protein purification
  • Automated sample preparation, assay setup, serial dilution, and multi-step transfer workflows
  • VWorks 14 protocol design, scheduling, and execution
  • Enclosed operation with light curtain and emergency-stop safety features
  • Walk-away automation for NGS library preparation, PCR/qPCR, ELISA, cell-based assays, and high-throughput screening

Testing and Technical Information

The system was powered on and initialized, with functionality checks performed on the light curtain, emergency stop, temperature-control modules, orbital shaker, 96LT liquid transfer, Bravo gripper, BenchCel 2R, stackers, Labware MiniHub, and all motion axes. CPAC temperature performance was tested across 4–110 °C, while ThermoCube operation was tested across −10–50 °C.

Additional configuration options may include a PlateLoc Sealer, alternative dispensing heads, and additional deck carrier positions. Integration of non-OEM devices may require an appropriate Agilent driver.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
