Product description

Millipore Milli-Q Integral 5 water purification system producing Type 2 pure and Type 1 ultrapure water with Q-POD, E-POD and 100 L tank.

The Millipore Milli-Q Integral 5 water purification system produces Type 2 pure water and Type 1 ultrapure water from potable tap water. It is used for laboratory water purification in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories.

The system includes a Q-POD ultrapure water dispenser, an E-POD pure water dispenser, an underbench polyethylene storage tank, an automatic tank sanitization module and a tank vent filter. The Millipore Washer Distribution Kit ZWDK5R100 adds a distribution pump for supplying pure water to laboratory equipment. Additional spare filters and cartridges are included.

The unit was operational when disconnected and was drained for transport and storage. It is in good operational condition. The approximate year of manufacture and installation is 2020.

The Millipore Milli-Q Integral 5 is a complete laboratory water purification system for producing, storing and distributing Type 2 pure water and Type 1 ultrapure water from potable tap water. It is suitable for water purification in biotechnology and life sciences laboratories.

Water production and quality

  • Type 2 Elix water resistivity: greater than 5 MΩ·cm at 25 °C
  • Type 1 water resistivity: up to 18.2 MΩ·cm at 25 °C
  • Type 1 total organic carbon: less than 5 ppb
  • Pure water production capacity: 5 L/h
  • Feed water: potable tap water
  • Progard pre-treatment cartridge system
  • Quantum polishing cartridge system

Dispensing, storage and distribution

  • Q-POD ultrapure water dispenser
  • E-POD pure water dispenser
  • Q-POD and E-POD dispensing rate: up to approximately 2 L/min
  • Underbench polyethylene storage tank
  • Tank capacity: approximately 100 L
  • Automatic Sanitization Module
  • Tank vent filter
  • Millipore Washer Distribution Kit ZWDK5R100
  • Distribution capacity: approximately 16.5 L/min at 1 bar
  • Distribution kit power supply: 230 V, 50 to 60 Hz
  • Additional spare filters and cartridges

The complete installation was operational when disconnected and was subsequently drained for transport and storage. The approximate year of manufacture and installation is 2020.

What these specifications mean

The two water grades support separate laboratory requirements within one installation. Type 2 Elix water is stored in the reservoir and can be dispensed through the E-POD or supplied to laboratory equipment. Type 1 ultrapure water is available through the Q-POD for more demanding applications.

The 5 L/h production capacity covers continuous generation, while the approximately 100 L tank provides stored water for demand between production cycles. The distribution kit supplies water at approximately 16.5 L/min at 1 bar, which supports delivery from the storage system to connected laboratory equipment rather than defining the purification rate.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
