Product description

51 g halogen moisture analyzer with 0.001 g readability, 50–200°C drying and SRA technology.

The A&D MX-50 Series Moisture Balance is a benchtop halogen moisture analyzer designed for rapid, uniform drying and moisture-content measurement, including samples with very low moisture content and low evaporation characteristics.

The MX-50 uses a 400 W halogen lamp and Secondary Radiation Assist (SRA) technology to support consistent sample heating. It is suitable for laboratory quality control, materials testing, food analysis, pharmaceutical development, biotechnology workflows, and general research applications.

Technical specifications:

  • Maximum capacity: 51 g
  • Readability: 0.001 g
  • Moisture content display: 0.01% / 0.1%
  • Drying temperature: 50–200°C
  • Heating source: 400 W halogen lamp
  • Pan size: Ø8.5 cm
  • Internal memory: 20 preset programs and 100 data positions
  • Data interface: RS-232C port with cable supplied
  • Dimensions (W × D × H): 21.5 × 32 × 17.3 cm

The moisture balance provides five measurement modes:

  • Quick Mode: Heats samples at 200°C for three minutes, then continues in Automatic Mode.
  • Timer Mode: Measures for a user-selected period from 1–480 minutes.
  • Manual Mode: Allows the operator to end measurement by pressing the STOP button.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
