Product description

GE Healthcare ÄKTAcrossflow automated TFF system for ultrafiltration, diafiltration and concentration in small scale bioprocessing.

The two GE Healthcare ÄKTAcrossflow automated tangential flow filtration systems support ultrafiltration, microfiltration, diafiltration, concentration and filter screening in small scale bioprocessing. They are designed for process development involving proteins, antibodies, vaccines, enzymes, cell culture products and other biological materials.

The systems include a PC and Unicorn software for system operation and process control. The main assemblies include the pumps and valve blocks, R-PCV retentate pressure control valve, reservoir, level and temperature sensor, pH detector, UV detector and conductivity detector. The first system is missing the P-PCV permeate control valve, the in-line transfer flow restrictor behind the transfer pump and some tubing.

Both systems are used. The first system is almost complete and operational, with functionality tested. The second system is supplied as a spare part donor. The systems are supplied as pictured.

GE Healthcare ÄKTAcrossflow is an automated tangential flow filtration system for small scale bioprocessing and process development. The platform supports:

  • Ultrafiltration
  • Microfiltration
  • Diafiltration
  • Concentration
  • Filter screening
  • Monitoring and control of flow, pressure and process parameters

The systems are suitable for process development involving proteins, antibodies, vaccines, enzymes, cell culture products and other biological materials. The fluid control system includes all pumps and valve blocks, an R-PCV retentate pressure control valve, a reservoir, a level and temperature sensor, a pH detector, a UV detector and a conductivity detector.

The offer contains two used ÄKTAcrossflow systems. The first is almost complete and operational, with functionality tested. It is missing the P-PCV permeate control valve, the in-line transfer flow restrictor and some tubing. The second system is a spare part donor. A PC and Unicorn software are included.

What these specifications mean

The 5.2 bar maximum system pressure defines the upper pressure boundary for the controlled filtration processes supported by the ÄKTAcrossflow. This pressure range is relevant to ultrafiltration, microfiltration, diafiltration and concentration workflows.

Separate feed, transfer and permeate flow ranges correspond to the different fluid paths in a tangential flow filtration process. The system supports feed flow from 1 to 600 mL/min and transfer and permeate flow from 0.1 to 200 mL/min.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
