Product description

Automated brightfield and green fluorescence live-cell imaging with 5MP CMOS camera and 2x objective.

The World Precision Instruments AutoLCI Automated Live-Cell Imaging System is a compact, incubator-compatible platform for automated long-term cell imaging and time-lapse analysis. It supports both brightfield and green fluorescence imaging for monitoring living cells in controlled culture environments.

  • Imaging modes: Brightfield and green fluorescence
  • Green fluorescence: 470/40x excitation; 510lp emission
  • Objective lens: 2x
  • Camera: 5MP CMOS
  • Light source: LED
  • Culture vessels: Well plates, flasks, and dishes; vessel adapters are not included
  • Imaging functions: Automated multi-position imaging, precision autofocus, XYZ control, Z-stack acquisition, and image stitching
  • File export formats: TIFF, AVI, JPEG, and PNG
  • Computer connection: Ethernet
  • Power: PoE, 48VDC, 24W
  • Dimensions: 226 x 358 x 215 mm
  • Weight: 5.6 kg / 12.3 lb

The AutoLCI is designed to fit inside standard CO₂ incubators, enabling repeatable live-cell imaging with reduced manual intervention. Typical applications include cell proliferation monitoring, cell migration studies, wound healing assays, cell morphology analysis, co-culture monitoring, cytotoxicity testing, cell confluency measurement, and long-term live-cell imaging.

This automated live-cell imaging system is suitable for cell biology, biotechnology, drug discovery, tissue engineering, and biopharmaceutical research workflows. Its brightfield and fluorescence capabilities support time-lapse experiments involving cultured cells, fluorescent probes, and multi-position screening.

The unit was tested for power-on, initialization, software connection, XYZ operation, imaging controls, brightfield imaging, and fluorescence imaging. Included equipment consists of a vessel holder for well plates, PoE adapter, and standard power cord.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
