Binocular brightfield microscope with 600x PLAN optics, LED illumination, coaxial focusing, ideal for educational and biotechnology labs.
The B-190 Binocular Brightfield Microscope is an advanced optical instrument optimized for detailed specimen observation in educational, biomedical, and biotechnology research settings. It features a binocular head with 360° rotation and 30° inclination, enabling ergonomic viewing with interpupillary distance adjustable from 48 to 75 mm and dioptric correction on the left eyepiece.
Key optical components include four N-PLAN objectives (4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, 40x/0.65, 60x/0.85) with anti-fungus treatment, delivering a total magnification of up to 600x. These objectives are mounted on a quadruple revolving nosepiece with smooth ball-bearing rotation for efficient switching during microscopy workflows.
The microscope employs a finite optical system with wide field (WF) 10x/18 mm eyepieces to enhance field of view and resolution. The mechanical stage offers double-layer sliding capabilities with precise X-Y control (125 x 115 mm stage size, 70 x 30 mm movement range), accompanied by a Vernier scale with 0.1 mm accuracy, essential for meticulous sample positioning in live-cell imaging or molecular diagnostics.
Focusing is controlled via coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs with adjustable tension and a built-in limit stop to protect objectives and specimens, supporting reliable imaging in synthetic biology and bioprocessing applications.
Illumination is provided by a 3 W X-LED² white LED light source with 6,300 K color temperature and adjustable intensity, ensuring uniform, high-contrast brightfield visualization critical for fluorescence analysis and histology. The integrated Abbe condenser with numerical aperture of 1.25 and iris diaphragm is height-adjustable to maximize contrast and resolution in diverse sample types.
Designed for durability and portability, the B-190 is a practical choice for secondary education, biotechnology laboratories, and clinical diagnostics, widely adopted in molecular biology and biopharmaceutical production pipelines where precise and stable microscope imaging is essential. The long-lasting LED illumination system guarantees over 20 years of operational lifespan, supporting sustainable biomanufacturing quality control workflows.
Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.
We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.
We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.
With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.
Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.
Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.
Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.
We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
Tell us what you need and a scientist finds it for you, usually within the hour.
