The Bax System QTC-1200 by DuPont Qualicon is an advanced real-time PCR system designed for genetics-based screening. It offers quick and accurate detection of target bacteria in raw ingredients, finished food products, and environmental and water samples. Utilizing the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), it delivers straightforward "yes-no" answers without needing confirmation or expert result interpretation. This system features tableted reagents that ensure accuracy, long shelf life, and consistency while reducing hands-on time through standard laboratory techniques.
The integrated cycler/detector of the Bax system simplifies use through automated amplification and detection, allowing users to simply load samples and walk away, with clear and reliable electronic results available in approximately four hours. Key benefits include automated cycling, detection, and analysis with a high capacity load of 96 samples per batch. The system's single platform and protocol enable testing for multiple targets simultaneously within the same batch, while electronic records facilitate easy data storage, retrieval, and printing.
The pre-packaged PCR tablets come with built-in controls and ingredients to counteract PCR inhibition, ensuring excellent inclusivity and exclusivity for all targets without the need for confirmation.
