Product description

Energy-efficient portable scale with long battery life and easy operation.

The Ohaus Compass CX1201 is a highly energy-efficient portable scale, boasting an impressive battery life of up to 1,000 continuous hours for seamless operation. Featuring a slim, stackable, and lightweight design, the Compass CX series is versatile enough to seamlessly fit into laboratory, industrial, educational, and home settings. Its intuitive two-button operation combined with a large backlit LCD display ensures ease of use and provides clear visibility of the weighing results.

Key features include a low power consumption design, enabling uninterrupted operation for up to 1,000 hours, and a large backlit LCD display for enhanced functionality. The compact design also allows for efficient storage, with the convenience of a stackable format.

Applications include weighing and display hold, utilizing a liquid crystal display (LCD) with backlight. The scale operates on three AA batteries (included) or an optional AC adapter (not included), but it does not offer communication capabilities. Constructed with an ABS housing and a stainless steel tray, the scale includes a transport lock and non-slip feet for safety. Additional project characteristics feature a stability indicator, mechanical and software overload/underload protection, low battery indicator, and automatic shutdown for added reliability.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
