Product description

Monocular polarizing microscope offering 400x magnification, polarized light, LED illumination, and rechargeable battery for biotechnological microscopy.

The B-150 Monocular Polarizing Microscope is designed for precise optical analysis in biotechnology, clinical diagnostics, and materials science. It features a monocular 30° inclined, 360° rotating head for ergonomic viewing and flexibility. The optical system includes a WF10x/18 mm eyepiece secured by screw for stable observation and a quadruple ball bearing revolving nosepiece equipped with three anti-fungus treated N-PLAN objectives: 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, and 40x/0.65, enabling up to 400x total magnification.

The brightfield and polarized light observation modes support enhanced contrast imaging crucial for biotechnological applications such as molecular diagnostics and synthetic biology research. The rotatable 120 mm diameter round specimen stage facilitates precise sample positioning, essential for live-cell imaging and bioprocessing workflows.

Focusing is achieved via a coaxial coarse and fine mechanism with adjustable tension and limit stop to protect specimens and objectives during delicate examinations. Illumination is provided by a pre-centered N.A. 1.25 condenser with iris diaphragm, paired with an X-LED1 white 1 W LED light source offering adjustable intensity and a stable 6300 K color temperature, critical for consistent fluorescence and visual clarity.

Power options include a long-lasting Li-Ion rechargeable battery with multi-plug compatibility (100-240Vac/5Vdc), making this microscope portable and ideal for field or multi-site lab work. The polarization system integrates a rotating polarizer (swing-out) and sliding analyzer to enable detailed birefringence studies, widely used in biomedical engineering and cell imaging.

This microscope is critical in biopharmaceutical production pipelines and gene editing workflows, offering reliable, high-resolution polarized microscopy optimized for advanced biotechnological research.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
