Product description

Sapphire ICP-MS injector with 0.5 mm ID for Thermo ELEMENT 2 PFA spray chambers.

The AHF Sapphire Injector 856-12 is an ICP-MS injector designed for the PFA spray chamber of the Thermo ELEMENT 2 ICP-MS system. Manufactured from high-purity synthetic pressed sapphire (Al₂O₃), it provides high chemical resistance and thermal stability for reliable sample and gas delivery during elemental analysis.

  • Material: High-purity sapphire
  • Internal diameter (ID): 0.5 mm
  • External diameter (OD): Approximately 1.0 mm
  • Length: Approximately 50 mm
  • Connection: Standard PFA injector mounting for Thermo ELEMENT 2
  • Chemical resistance: Very high; resistant to acids, bases, and organic solvents
  • Temperature resistance: Up to ≥ 800 °C
  • Compatibility: Thermo ELEMENT 2 ICP-MS with PFA spray chamber
  • Internal geometry: Precisely manufactured cavity for consistent spray performance and reproducible analysis

The sapphire injector supports stable plasma operation and repeatable sample introduction in ICP-MS, trace-element analysis, environmental testing, materials research, and biotechnology-related analytical workflows. This component is in very good used condition; the interior is clear and free from deposits, while the exterior is scratch-free and undamaged. It is ready for use with a compatible Thermo ELEMENT 2 ICP-MS system.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
