CV Instruments SHD0002 Shore D Durometer for hard rubber and plastics, with reference block, protective case, and UKAS calibration certificate.
The CV Instruments SHD0002 Shore D Durometer is an analogue hardness tester for measuring indentation resistance in hard rubber, semi rigid plastics, hard plastics, thermoplastics, polystyrene, vinyl sheets, cellulose acetates, and densified wood.
This unit includes a reference block and protective case. The reference block supports instrument checking against a known hardness reference. The protective case provides storage for the durometer and its accessories.
The used durometer was tested with the supplied reference block and is working properly. A UKAS calibration certificate is included.
This used analogue compact dial durometer measures resistance to indentation in hard materials. It is intended for material hardness testing of:
The gauge uses a spring loaded needle that penetrates the test material under applied pressure. The dial indicates the corresponding Shore D hardness value.
The unit includes a reference block, protective case, and UKAS calibration certificate. It was tested with the supplied reference block and is working properly.
The Shore D scale and sharp point penetrator suit hard rubber, hard synthetic materials, thermoplastics, vinyl sheets, cellulose acetates, and densified wood. The 30 degree tip angle and 1.25 mm indenter diameter define the contact geometry used for these hardness measurements.
The analogue 0 to 100 scale provides a direct dial reading at the material surface. The reference block supports a basic check of the instrument before measurement.
Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.
We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.
We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.
With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.
Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.
Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.
Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.
We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
Tell us what you need and a scientist finds it for you, usually within the hour.
