Product description

Sartorius Stedim Biostat CultiBag RM 50 rocking shaker for cell culture, with heating plate, 25 L working volume and 20 to 40 degrees C control.

The Sartorius Stedim Biostat CultiBag RM 50 rocking shaker is a single-use bioprocessing system for mixing, aerating and heating CultiBags in cell culture. Applications include viral vector production, vaccine development, recombinant protein expression and process optimization.

This unit includes the DS050LRMH-2 heating plate and uses Rocking Motion technology. It operates independently without a Biostat RM Control Tower. A Control Tower can be connected for advanced process control involving pH, dissolved oxygen and monitoring.

The unit is used, tested and fully functional. It originated from a closed pharmaceutical laboratory in the Netherlands.

Sartorius Stedim Biostat CultiBag RM 50 is a Rocking Motion shaker with integrated heating for single-use CultiBags. The unit supports cell culture and bioprocessing applications including viral vector production, vaccine development, recombinant protein expression and process optimization.

What these specifications mean

The 25 L working volume distinguishes the process volume from the 50 L maximum CultiBag capacity. This separates the usable culture volume from the physical bag capacity when planning single-use cell culture processes.

The 20 to 40 degrees C temperature range supports temperature-controlled culture processes. The adjustable 5 to 10 degree rocking angle and 8 to 42 movements per minute provide control over the rocking conditions used for mixing and aeration.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Often, yes. Verified suppliers frequently work with service partners converting the instrument. If applicable, we can list servicing options alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
