Product description

Automated cell culture analyzer for chemistry, gas, osmolality, cell density, and viability testing in bioprocessing.

Overview

The Nova Biomedical BioProfile FLEX2 is an automated cell culture analyzer configured with Chemistry, Gas, Cell Density/Viability, and OSM48 Osmometer modules. It performs integrated analysis of cell culture chemistry, blood gases, pH, osmolality, cell density, and cell viability for bioprocessing, upstream manufacturing, and biopharmaceutical process development.

Included configuration

  • Chemistry Module with 11 chemistry tests using maintenance-free sensor card technology
  • Gas Module for pH, PCO₂, and PO₂ measurement
  • Cell Density/Viability Module
  • OSM48 Osmometer Module for osmolality analysis
  • Logitech combination keyboard and trackpad
  • Standard power cord

Sampling and throughput

  • Automated sampling from 96-well plates, syringes, or a 24-position external “load-and-go” sample tray
  • Automated walk-away throughput for up to 24 samples
  • Integrated sampling supports bioreactor and cell culture process monitoring
  • Analysis time and sample size when modules are operated individually:
  • Chemistry Module: Gluc, Lac, Gln, Glu, NH₄⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, Ca²⁺ / 120 sec / 135 µL
  • Osmometry Module: Osmolality / 240 sec / 140 µL
  • Gas Module: pH, PCO₂, PO₂ / 120 sec / 275 µL
  • Cell Density/Viability Module: Cell diameter 4–70 µm; density 100,000–80,000,000 cells/mL
  • Analysis time and sample size when modules are run collectively: 270 sec / 275 µL

Technical specifications

  • Dimensions (W × D × H): 43 × 64 × 61 cm
  • Analyzer weight: 94 lb (42.6 kg)
  • Maintenance-free microsensor cards help reduce routine maintenance and calibration requirements
  • Cartridge-based Reagent Management System (RMS)

Applications

The BioProfile FLEX2 supports nutrient-consumption and metabolite-production monitoring during cell culture, bioreactor quality control, media optimization, feeding-strategy development, and scale-up studies. It is suited to cell line comparison, cell health monitoring, upstream biomanufacturing, process troubleshooting, and in-process control in biotechnology and biopharmaceutical production pipelines.

The listed pre-owned instrument was manufactured in 2023, received minimal use, and was tested for carousel operation, LED illumination, RFID functionality, osmometer homing and bath temperature regulation, gas and sample valve switching, syringe pump operation, chemistry valve switching, and cell density/viability valve positioning. Reagents, calibration supplies, sensor chips, and other consumables are not included.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
