Product description

Label-free impedance cell analyzer with six independent 96-well plate stations for real-time cell monitoring.

The Agilent Roche ACEA xCELLigence RTCA MP Real-Time Cell Analyzer is a label-free, impedance-based cell analysis system for monitoring live-cell behavior in real time. Its six independent 96-well plate stations support parallel, high-throughput analysis for cell proliferation, cytotoxicity, immunotherapy, cancer research, and biotechnology workflows.

The system includes the ACEA RTCA MP Analyzer, RTCA MP Station 6x96, a computer running RTCA Pro Trial software, communication cables, and power cables. A full RTCA software license must be purchased separately from Agilent.

Key capabilities

  • Label-free real-time cell analysis using electrical impedance
  • Six independent E-Plate 96 positions for simultaneous sample measurement
  • Automated data acquisition and analysis
  • Monitoring of cell health, proliferation, adhesion, and behavioral changes
  • Applications in immunotherapy research, cancer cell proliferation, cytotoxicity testing, molecular biology, and drug development
  • Suitable for live-cell assays and high-throughput biotechnology research

RTCA MP Analyzer specifications

  • Electrical input: 100 to 240 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz, 25 W maximum
  • Output test signal: 22 mV rms ±20% at 10, 25, and 50 kHz
  • Impedance measurement accuracy: ±(1% + 1.5 Ω)
  • Impedance measurement repeatability: 0.8%
  • Impedance dynamic range: 10 to 5 kΩ
  • Communications: RS-232 serial communications at 57,600 bits/second
  • Operating temperature: +15 to +32 °C
  • Relative humidity: 80% maximum up to 31 °C, decreasing linearly to 50% maximum at 40 °C
  • Dimensions: 40 cm × 40 cm × 8 cm (W × D × H)
  • Status indicators: Power, communications, and analyzer status LEDs

RTCA MP Station specifications

  • Electrical input: ±5 VDC, +12 VDC, 10 W maximum
  • Electronic switch resistance: 2 to 5 Ω
  • Plate handling capacity: Six E-Plate 96 devices
  • Communications: RS-232 serial communications at 57,600 bits/second
  • Operating temperature: +20 to +40 °C
  • Relative humidity: 98% maximum, noncondensing
  • Measurement rate: Less than 10 seconds per measurement for one E-Plate 96; less than 1 minute per measurement for six E-Plates
  • Dimensions: 44 cm × 44 cm × 18 cm (W × D × H)
  • Status indicators: Power and device status LEDs

The analyzer and MP station were tested for power-up, initialization, self-check operation, plate-lock sensors, status lights, software communication, plate recognition across all six stations, and resistance-plate verification under full-load conditions. The unit is supplied as a pre-owned, serviced instrument in good cosmetic condition.

Why Questpair exists

Lab equipment markets are fragmented. Buyers spend weeks calling distributors, comparing quotes, and verifying supplier reliability. Sellers struggle to reach global research labs.

We built Questpair to fix this. Every supplier on the platform is verified before listing. Every quote you receive comes from a real, vetted seller. AI prepares your case in minutes, then a real specialist takes over.

We're an independent team based in The Netherlands, working with research labs and procurement teams across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

How long does laboratory equipment typically last?

With a service contract, ten to fifteen years is normal for most benchtop instruments. Detectors and pumps are the parts that wear first.

Can I get service for older equipment?

Yes. Every verified supplier states which service partners cover the instrument, and we list that alongside the offer.

Where can I buy parts?

Ask a scientist through the request button. Parts are often available even when the instrument itself is discontinued.

What is the typical lead time for refurbished equipment?

Two to six weeks, depending on refurbishment scope and whether calibration is included.

Does laboratory equipment ship internationally?

We ship to 38 countries. Crating and customs handling are quoted with the instrument.
